Most folks don’t want to talk about unidentified flying objects, or UFOs because people will think they are crazy, and they will lose credibility in their profession, and not be taken seriously. But, as the coordinator for a think tank which operates online, I totally disagree for a number of reasons. One of the best arguments for talking about UFO and the conspiracy theories which follow them goes something like this; “imagination is more important than knowledge” – and guess who said that? Yes, you are correct Einstein said that.
Now then, Walt Disney also uttered similar words, and so have a good number of innovative game changers throughout human history. Sometimes it pays to ask the questions and think where other people won’t, otherwise how can you progress if you constantly only consider that which has already been considered the prior. This is why I believe every serious aerospace engineering student should study UFO conspiracy theories.
It doesn’t matter if you believe or not, in fact it is okay if you don’t believe, and it’s probably not going to hurt anybody if you do. After all, many people believe in human superstitions, I think you call them religions, and those are also made up stories. However those folks that believe in religion are able to get their minds in a certain place which allow them to think differently, and it modifies their behavior. We also have gotten quite a bit of our Western philosophy from the Calvanistic-like theories which go along with believe in a higher power, fate, and a God, or gods.
Now then, if aerospace engineering students will consider various potential eventualities for Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs then they will be able to think outside the box, and perhaps come up with ways to actually create them, to design aircraft, spacecraft, and vertical takeoff and landing craft, even flying cars which can operate in the way that UFO conspiracy theories say that the UFOs do. There is value in having that sort of imagination, and the ability to think outside the box.
Those that can will be rewarded with new innovations, inventions, and concepts which will change the way humans live, travel, and they will lead to new discoveries in materials, propulsion, fuels, space travel, and aviation. And I’d say that’s worth quite a bit. You see, if you limit your mind, and you refuse to think outside that box, if you ditch your imagination, and stop your critical thinking and reasoning, you will never be able to push the envelope, break the sound barrier, or boldly go where no man has gone before, so help you God.
So, what is your problem, start today, study and then think, don’t waste that mind of yours for another moment? Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
